Puttin’ on the Whole Armor of God

The Whole Armor of God Prayer

LORD, I ask for your Armor, I need it so that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil and his schemes, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. I ask for your full Armor so when the evil day comes I am able to stand firm and ready. I ask for the buckle of truth to place upon my loins, and the breastplate of righteousness to place upon my chest, may the gospel of peace be the firm foundation my feet stand on. I ask for the shield of faith to stop the flaming arrows of darts from the enemy, the helmet of salvation to guard my thoughts and keep them Holy upon my head, and the Sword of the Spirit which is thy Word in my heart and in my hand to defend the Kingdom until my dying day. I further ask you to forgive me of every thought, word, or deed done and undone, anything I’ve grieved you with I repent now and lay them at Your feet. Create in me a clean heart Oh LORD, search me for any bitterness or fault so that I may forgive also from the things unseen. I ask you to shape, mold and make me into who you want me to be, always in Your will, never mine. Cover me in the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth leaving no hedge uncovered from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. Lead me not into temptation above that which I am able, but with every temptation make a way of escape and deliver me from evil so that I may glorify you in all of my days. For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, & the Glory forever. I ask all of this in Jesus’ mighty name, my SAVIOUR, and my KING, Amen & Amen. ๐Ÿ™

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritualhosts of wickedness in the heavenlyplaces. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saintsโ€” 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
